British Legion Memorial

 

ST PETERS CHURCH  [BRITISH LEGION - WAR PLAQUE]

The original Royal British Legion building was established at Burfield Road, Cradley before the group moved premises to Beecher Place, Cradley in the 1970’s.    The wooden memorial plaque was replaced in the entrance to the Beecher Place club.

The Roll of Honour has names of 114 men who died in the First World War and 36 who lost their lives in the Second World War. After the demolition of the British Legion building in Beecher Place the plaque was moved to St. Peter’s Church where it is now housed.
